How do I receive merchant push notifications?
Choose new-member and reward-redemption alerts for each business and device. Basic push is included in Growth after rollout.
Merchant push notifications are pending rollout. Once enabled, verified Owners and Managers of an active business can open Settings → This device → Push notifications. Choose the events you want, select Enable notifications, then allow the browser prompt. Staff accounts cannot enable these business alerts.
On iPhone or iPad, add the merchant site to your Home Screen and open it from that icon before enabling notifications. Requires iOS or iPadOS 16.4 or later. Supported Android and desktop browsers also require notification permission and a secure connection.
Choose New members and Reward redemptions independently. Stamp alerts are not offered. Simply scanning a QR does not trigger a notification: the membership or redemption must be recorded successfully. Enabling notifications does not send old activity.
Growth includes 1,000 PWA push notifications per paid outlet per UTC calendar month, pooled across the business: three paid outlets share 3,000. Each device copy counts when queued: one event sent to two devices uses two notifications. Retries do not count again, but queued notifications count even if the device never displays them. Scale capacity: contact us.
The Owner can check Settings → Usage & limits → Notifications for Sent, Allowance used, Remaining and Monthly limit. Sent means accepted by the push service, not displayed or read. Allowance counts device copies when queued; Sent counts in the month accepted. Use Refresh usage for current totals. At the cap, new alerts pause without overage charges; membership, stamp and redemption operations continue. Missed alerts are not replayed. Only payment-confirmed outlets increase the limit; creating a location does not. Outlet changes and reinstalling do not reset usage. Usage resets each UTC month.
Preferences apply only to the selected business on this device. Repeat setup for other businesses or devices. Up to five devices per person per business are supported; save your settings again within 90 days to keep a device enabled. Turning off one business does not turn off your other businesses.
Signing out from the merchant site turns off this account’s merchant push notifications across all its devices and businesses. Enable them again after signing back in. Signing out from the consumer site does not turn them off. Notifications also stop when business access is removed or the subscription is inactive.
Alerts can arrive while Kardy is closed, but may take a minute or longer. Check your connection, device notification permission and Focus or Do Not Disturb settings if an alert is missing. Notifications are not proof that an operation failed; check Kardy’s Members or Activity page before repeating it. Device services cannot guarantee every alert is displayed.
Customer names and contact details are not shown in push alerts. Tap an alert to open the relevant business after your access is checked. Browser push is separate from email broadcasts and consumer wallet updates.
