# Kardy - full product context

> Kardy is a wallet-first loyalty platform for neighbourhood merchants and the people who keep coming back.

## Product model

Kardy has two connected experiences:

- **Member wallet**: consumers keep one Kardy identity, a universal QR, merchant-branded passes, stamp progress, and rewards.
- **Merchant workspace**: merchants configure a programme, customise its customer-facing experience, manage locations, view members, and record stamps or redemptions.

Consumers become members when they click Join, register from a merchant QR code, or join through a local offer. If they are already a member, Kardy shows an already-member state and takes them to the existing wallet rather than creating a duplicate.

Every merchant owns its own rules. Stamp goals, rewards, locations, brand colours, logos, names, and programme language do not need to match another shop. A universal Kardy identity connects the experience without flattening each merchant's brand.

## Public surfaces

### Home

https://getkardy.com/

The landing page explains the wallet-first model, shows the member journey from merchant setup to QR scan and reward, highlights Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, and links to Offers, the blog, merchant workspace, and demo booking.

### Offers

https://getkardy.com/network

Offers is the consumer discovery surface for local coupons and membership programmes. Each listing can show merchant branding, reward language, its own stamp goal, a redemption location on a Singapore map, and a join flow.

### Member wallet

https://getkardy.com/member

The member surface shows the universal Kardy QR, merchant passes, visit activity, reward progress, saved wallet pass actions, and a map of stores the member has joined or visited.

### Pricing

https://getkardy.com/pricing

Kardy pricing is presented as two paid merchant plans: Growth for local teams and Scale for larger or more considered rollouts. Merchant accounts can be created for free in a limited setup and preview workspace, but an active Growth or Scale subscription is required for the full merchant workspace and live operations. Growth is $50 SGD per location per month when billed monthly, or $40 SGD per location per month when billed annually ($480 per location per year). New merchants can start their first outlet at $25 SGD for the first month on monthly Growth; regular pricing applies after the first month. Scale is a custom/concierge path shaped around the team's locations and support needs. Consumer checkout and reward transactions remain separate from Kardy billing.

### Merchant workspace

The merchant surface supports free account creation and setup preview. An active paid plan unlocks programme customisation, locations, member activity, stamp and redemption operations, wallet passes, and merchant-side map activity.

### Blog and comparisons

https://getkardy.com/blog

Kardy's blog covers retention, local loyalty, wallet passes, and honest comparisons against tools merchants may consider. Comparison pages identify both Kardy's strengths and gaps rather than presenting every feature as a win.

## Security and data boundaries

- QR codes contain revocable opaque tokens only; they never encode email, phone, password, or other personal information.
- Passwords are handled by InsForge Auth and are not stored in application tables.
- Merchant data is tenant-scoped.
- Scan and redemption events are append-only audit history.
- Wallet signing keys, billing secrets, and service credentials remain server-only.

## Feature comparisons

### Kardy vs STAMPEDE

A strong local option for F&B operators who want stamps, referrals, campaigns, and retention reporting in one merchant tool.

Best for: F&B teams that want a full retention engine around their existing customer base.

Kardy is strong at:
- One Kardy identity can hold memberships from different shops.
- Each merchant gets its own branded pass while members keep one QR identity.
- A consumer marketplace gives local programmes a place to be discovered.
- Apple Wallet and Google Wallet are treated as first-class destinations.

Kardy still needs:
- Automated campaigns, win-back journeys, and merchant-side referral reporting are not in the current Kardy MVP.
- Kardy still needs fraud controls and retention reporting at STAMPEDE's depth.
- Merchant-side member activity is currently a foundation, not a full CRM.

### Kardy vs Square Loyalty

A capable loyalty layer for businesses already operating on Square Point of Sale or Square Online.

Best for: Operators who want loyalty, customer data, payments, and marketing inside the Square stack.

Kardy is strong at:
- Kardy is not tied to one POS, payment processor, or catalogue.
- Members can collect programmes from different merchants in one consumer experience.
- Kardy combines merchant-branded passes with a simple marketplace for local discovery.
- Kardy is designed around Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, not just a merchant dashboard.

Kardy still needs:
- POS and online checkout integrations are not in the current Kardy MVP.
- Kardy does not yet support spend-, item-, or category-based earning rules.
- Automated SMS/email journeys, POS-linked earning rules, and sales attribution still need to be built.

### Kardy vs Loopy Loyalty

A focused digital stamp card product with wallet support and a visual card designer for individual businesses.

Best for: Small businesses that want to make one attractive stamp card quickly and send it to mobile wallets.

Kardy is strong at:
- Kardy gives consumers one place to keep memberships from many independent shops.
- Merchants can run a branded programme while Kardy handles the shared member identity.
- A local marketplace can turn loyalty into discovery, not just a card people receive once.
- Multi-location support is part of the merchant model, not an afterthought.

Kardy still needs:
- Kardy still needs a richer self-serve pass designer and more granular visual controls.
- A public developer/API story and deeper integrations are not complete in the current MVP.
- Kardy needs more integrations and operational tooling before it matches a mature wallet-card platform.

### Kardy vs Stampit

A wallet-first platform for branded digital stamp cards, coupons, partner pages, and location-aware customer reminders.

Best for: Cafés and local businesses that want a polished wallet card live without asking customers to download an app.

Kardy is strong at:
- One Kardy identity can hold memberships from different independent merchants.
- Each merchant gets its own branded pass while the consumer keeps one universal QR identity.
- Kardy gives local offers and memberships a shared discovery surface through its marketplace.
- Kardy's merchant model is designed around multiple locations and one connected workspace.

Kardy still needs:
- Kardy does not yet have Stampit's more granular visual card designer for stamps, backgrounds, and per-program styling.
- Location-aware wallet surfacing and push-style wallet notifications are not in the current Kardy MVP.
- Stampit's partner pages and coupon-card experiments point to a broader self-serve offer surface than Kardy has today.

### Kardy vs Piqlo

A tap-or-scan card that combines digital stamps or points with a customer list, reviews, contact sharing, and menus.

Best for: Local businesses that want loyalty alongside reviews, contact capture, and other everyday customer touchpoints.

Kardy is strong at:
- Kardy gives consumers one shared membership identity instead of a separate card for every participating business.
- Merchant-branded passes and the Kardy universal pass make the wallet experience work across places.
- Kardy's marketplace gives members a reason to discover nearby offers, not just save one card.
- Kardy's product is focused on loyalty as the relationship layer, rather than combining loyalty with review and contact-card jobs.

Kardy still needs:
- Kardy does not yet offer Piqlo's points-per-visit or points-per-spend rewards catalogue.
- Customer CRM, lapsed-member views, review links, contact saving, and editable menu cards are not in the current Kardy MVP.
- Piqlo currently documents a more mature tap-or-scan setup with staff keys and multiple card types for a local business.

### Kardy vs PocketStamp

A café-focused loyalty layer that puts a branded card in Apple or Google Wallet and works alongside compatible POS setups.

Best for: Independent cafés that want wallet loyalty, counter scanning, and scheduled return-visit reminders without replacing their till.

Kardy is strong at:
- Kardy lets a member keep programmes from multiple local businesses under one identity.
- The Kardy marketplace gives wallet loyalty a discovery layer across Singapore neighbourhoods.
- Kardy is built for a merchant programme that can grow across locations with one connected member view.
- Kardy keeps its member experience centred on one universal pass and one QR identity.

Kardy still needs:
- Kardy does not yet offer PocketStamp's existing POS-adjacent workflow for compatible Android tills.
- Automatic halfway, reward-ready, birthday, and win-back reminders are not in the current Kardy MVP.
- PocketStamp documents campaign history and delivery counts that Kardy's first merchant workspace does not yet provide.

### Kardy vs Stamp Me

A mature digital punch card platform with a customer app, wallet member codes, merchant stamping tools, communications, and gamification.

Best for: Businesses that want a proven punch-card system with customer messaging, flexible stamping, and a broader loyalty toolkit.

Kardy is strong at:
- Kardy starts with one universal identity across participating merchants, not a separate app relationship for each programme.
- Members can use Kardy's wallet-first flow without needing to keep a dedicated loyalty app installed.
- Kardy pairs merchant-branded membership with local offer discovery through its marketplace.
- Kardy's first release keeps the counter action intentionally small: one QR, one stamp, one clear reward state.

Kardy still needs:
- Kardy does not yet match Stamp Me's customer communications, targeted campaigns, or scratch-and-win gamification.
- Stamp Me has more flexible stamping options and integrations for businesses that need operational variety.
- Kardy is an MVP and does not yet have Stamp Me's long operating history and international merchant footprint.

### Kardy vs PlaceAlive Cards

A no-app digital stamp card that uses an NFC Club Card to add and validate loyalty in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

Best for: Businesses that want a simple, no-staff-app tap experience and are comfortable putting a physical NFC card at the counter.

Kardy is strong at:
- Kardy gives one member identity a home across many participating merchants, not just one business card.
- Kardy's QR-first flow works with the tools merchants already have and does not require a dedicated NFC Club Card.
- The Kardy marketplace makes nearby offers and memberships discoverable to consumers in one place.
- Kardy's merchant workspace is designed to show members, locations, visits, and redemptions together.

Kardy still needs:
- Kardy does not yet offer PlaceAlive's staff-free NFC tap flow or its cryptographic NFC validation model.
- PlaceAlive documents a no-monthly-fee entry plan and optional wallet notifications that Kardy has not yet matched in its MVP pricing and engagement surface.
- Kardy's wallet notification and local discovery experience is still being built, while PlaceAlive already describes nearby lock-screen surfacing.

## Blog posts

## why-wallet-loyalty

The places we return to are rarely just transactions. They are the neighbourhood coffee
shop, the studio where someone knows your name, the bakery that has become part of your
Saturday.

Loyalty works when it respects that relationship. A member should not need a separate
app, a password reset, or a new mental model every time they walk in.

## A quieter kind of loyalty

Wallet passes are useful because they meet people where they already look. They can hold
the merchant's identity, the reward promise, and the one action that matters at the
counter.

Kardy adds a universal layer for people who love more than one place. The identity stays
the same while each merchant can still feel like itself.

## The practical test

For a loyalty program to earn its place, it should answer three questions quickly:

1. What am I working toward?
2. How close am I?
3. What do I show when I arrive?

If the answer is clear, the program disappears into the habit. That is the point.
