How do birthday rewards work?
An optional birthday-month perk, separate from stamps, once per business each year.
Owners configure one birthday reward per business in Rewards → Birthday rewards, not during onboarding. Edit the name and terms, preview, enable or pause it, then save changes. Discard changes restores the last saved settings. Consumers voluntarily add their birthday month and day in personal account settings. No birth year is collected. Dates stay private unless the consumer separately opts in to sharing month and day; sharing can be turned off without losing reward eligibility. Birthday consent is separate from marketing consent.
Merchant teams can open Members → More details to see shared month/day, reward eligibility and this year's redemption date. A private date is shown as Birthday not shared. Employees cannot edit a consumer's birthday or reset a claim. The Owner manages the business reward; Managers and Staff can check and redeem it using the member's birthday reward QR.
During the birthday month in Singapore time, eligible members can claim once per business per calendar year across all its active outlets. Their membership and saved birthday must both be at least seven days old. February 29 birthdays work throughout February. The business subscription and birthday programme must be active.
The consumer opens the membership and generates a separate birthday reward QR, valid for ten minutes or until month-end. Staff scan, check the terms and confirm before handing over the reward. It does not spend stamps. A new QR replaces the old one; a claimed reward cannot be claimed again.
Remove your birthday anytime to stop eligibility. Date changes are limited to once every 365 days; contact support for a genuine correction. Removal clears month and day but does not reset the cooldown or erase redemption history. Adding a date late in the month may mean the seven-day wait ends after the birthday month.
Birthday rewards are in development rollout, not yet enabled in production. They do not send birthday emails or SMS. Owners can disable rewards or change terms; previously issued unclaimed codes then need to be checked again.
