Kardy vs
Square Loyalty

A capable loyalty layer for businesses already operating on Square Point of Sale or Square Online.

Our take

Start with the till you already use

If your team already works in Square, the connection to checkout is the part to look at first. Square describes enrolment through its point of sale and online channels, with earning rules based on visits, spend, items or categories. Those details matter when a reward needs to follow the purchase rather than a separate stamp action.

Kardy's current programme is separate from checkout. That can suit a shop looking for a standalone membership experience, but it also means another staff action at the counter. We would not suggest changing a working checkout setup just to gain a different-looking loyalty card. For a Singapore business, confirm regional availability before comparing either product's feature list.

Where Kardy still falls short

POS and online checkout integrations are not in the current Kardy MVP. Kardy does not yet support spend-, item-, or category-based earning rules. Automated SMS/email journeys, POS-linked earning rules, and sales attribution still need to be built.

A quick feature reference

Use this to shortlist questions for a demo, not to count checkmarks. “Not listed” means we could not confirm a capability—not that it is unavailable.

Try it in practice

Walk through a purchase, a reward redemption and a refund. Check what the cashier has to do in each case, and whether points or stamps need correcting manually.

Use the phones and staff roles you expect to have at launch. Keep a note of anything that needs an explanation, a manual correction or a second device. Those are the details to resolve before inviting customers.
